Dean Hakim is a seasoned bartender with 12 years of shaking, stirring, and crafting cocktails that have probably saved more lives than any medicine. Before mastering the art of bartending, he spent time as a 3rd mate on ships, navigating the high seas and refining his ability to pour a perfect cup of coffee while battling 3-story waves (which is far more impressive than it sounds).

Having traveled to over 15 countries, Dean has become an expert in tasting diverse cuisines and collecting stories that are usually too wild to share over Sunday brunch. He speaks two languages, which is helpful when he needs to charm both patrons and the occasional bemused taxi driver in a foreign land.

At home, Dean is a proud dog dad to three adorable pups, who have firmly established themselves as his furry life coaches. When he’s not busy making drinks or planning his next adventure, he’s nurturing his “plant family,” proving that he can indeed keep something alive—other than his bar tabs.
