Executive Pastry Chef David Viegas, originally from Portugal, brings a refined European approach to the art of pastry. Formally trained at the prestigious Institut National de la Boulangerie Pâtisserie in France, he developed a strong foundation in classic French techniques before lending his expertise to Italian pastry traditions.

Since joining Calandra’s Bakery in 1998, Chef David has become an integral part of the brand’s culinary identity, now overseeing all pastry operations for both the bakery and Calandra’s 3 restaurants. Specializing in Italian bakery confections, he is known for elevating traditional recipes with precision, creativity, and craftsmanship.

From elegant custom cakes to signature pastries, each creation reflects his dedication to quality, authenticity, and timeless flavor, all crafted at Calandra’s Bakery Caldwell, located within Calandra’s Italian Village.
