Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, first generation Italian. Our family is from a small mountain town called Castel Ruggero, the province of Salerno.
My career started out as a dishwasher working my way up through the ranks.
I graduated the CIA in 83’ upon graduating I worked the high-end French restaurants for a few years learning the skills taught to me at CIA, from La Petite Marmite and several other restaurants to La Cote Basque.
Sous chef at the Ritz Café, Corporate executive chef for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Executive chef for the Pam steakhouses, and the regional chef for Back Bay restaurant group.
Chef at the Ho Ho Kus Inn here in New Jersey and then corporate chef for the nation leading food distribution company Sysco. Buckhead beef, Vrola meat specialists, did my MBA training in beef and animal welfare.
Finally opening Luigino’s Parmigiana in Montclair, NJ on April 5th, 2023.
Winning best Italian restaurant in Essex county.
