Savannah Miller

Participating Events

Savannah Miller currently calls Durham home, but she gained her love for restaurants and cooking while growing up in the smaller town of Southern Pines, NC. She earned her degree from the New England Culinary Institute and honed her skills under the esteemed Chef Matthew Jennings at “Townsman” in Boston, MA. In 2018, she moved to Durham and became CDC at Mike Lee’s “M Tempura,” where her leadership helped the restaurant earn accolades from Bon Appétit as one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the U.S. and the News and Observer’s Restaurant of the Year. In 2022, Savannah took on the role of Executive Chef at Glasshouse Kitchen in RTP, and her success led her to compete in Season 21 of Bravo’s “Top Chef,” finishing in the top three—a first for any North Carolina chef. She has since returned to M Tempura, where she currently leads a small team to craft innovative tasting menus that blend traditional Japanese techniques with the vibrant flavors of North Carolina.
