Steve Maclean is the chef, farmer, and visionary behind The Farm at Glenwood Mountain, a 180-acre organic farm nestled in the foothills of Vernon, New Jersey. With a deep respect for the land and a passion for honest food, Steve oversees every aspect of the farm’s operations—from pasture to plate.
The farm is home to grass-fed beef and lamb, woodland-raised pork, free-range chickens and ducks, pasture-raised turkeys, and heritage breed rabbits. It also produces certified organic fruits and vegetables, alongside honey from its own thriving apiary. Steve’s commitment to regenerative agriculture and animal welfare is at the core of everything he does.
Onsite, the farm features a restaurant and wedding venue where Steve leads the culinary program, offering a “true” farm-to-table experience. Almost every ingredient served is raised or grown right on the farm, creating an unforgettable connection between the land, the food, and the people who gather to enjoy it.
Whether he’s harvesting heirloom vegetables, butchering a heritage pig, or preparing a meal that tells the story of the season, Steve Maclean’s work is rooted in craftsmanship, community, and a deep love for food, and the land it’s produced on.
