Founders Jonathan and Nina White of Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse lead a tasting of their award-winning cheeses. Jonathan and Nina are pioneers of modern-day, 100% grass-fed, farmstead cheeses in the United States. When they founded Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse on leased land in 2002, the purpose was to prove that it was possible to make small-scale regenerative farming a viable and vibrant option for landowners in the northeast. Over the ensuing years, Bobolink has raised the standard for local cheeses, and was a leader in the rejuvenation of American Farmstead cheese.
Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse demonstrates that wildlife, environmental conservation, and thoughtful food production can share a space. As steadfast innovators within the food ways of regenerative agriculture, Jonathan has created a legacy of award-winning cheeses that reflect the terroir of the couple’s 187 acre farm. Nina has created a line of rustic breads that are inspired by the wheat, rye, corn, and oats that are grown in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Their hope for the future lies in replicating the model of producing delicious and nourishing foods in harmony with nature throughout the world.
