Molly graduated with an Honors Baccalaureate in Food Science enology & viticulture concentration and a Minor in Chemistry from Oregon State University in Corvallis Oregon. Only applied to universities that offered enology/viticulture programs. Wanted to be in the wine industry ever since seeing beautiful scenes of vineyards in movies – figured I would be very happy making a product for people to enjoy and living in the beautiful wine regions of the world. Graduated with an MBA from Washington State University in Pullman Washington. Grew up in the small ranching town of Powell Butte, Oregon, but my family only had a few acres of native sagebrush and juniper trees. Started my career post-graduation with a marketing and QA internship at a family run dairy in Oregon. Followed by a cellar internship at The Hogue Cellars in Prosser WA. Worked full time in the cellar at Hogue and washed tanks for 10 hours a day before jetting off to New Zealand for a harvest at Kim Crawford. Came back as the Cellar Supervisor at Hogue for a few harvests and then jumped into winemaking with a Production Winemaker role at Dunnewood in Ukiah CA. After 3 harvests at Dunnewood landed in my current position as Assistant Winemaker for The Prisoner. Favorite things about winemaking: the magic in the air during harvest, all the hard work, all the aromas in the cellar, and all the collaboration. Knowing that people are enjoying the finished product to celebrate all of life’s big and little moments. Also obsessed with my dog and enjoying outdoor activities, backpacking, tennis, SUP.
